We Chose Joy

Mike found this car and thought it would be right for me. I was a bit skeptical from the description.....but we met the owner today and its perfect. It will seat 7 (tightly) and is bigger than a compact but much smaller than a full size van. ::snort:: It drives like a dream and the man dropped the price while talking to us. It's MUCH cheaper than any of the others we were considering....and just a bit more than if we'd bought the clunker we were considering for Mike. It has 2 YEARS of JCI left...and we paid $1100.00 for it. We've not bought it yet....but the man told us to take it and drive it until he's available to go to Pass and ID with Mike on Friday. He said he knows where to find chap if he tries to run with the car. ::snort::

Our Home Saga

The house in San Angelo may well sell.

They offered $9,000.00 less than our asking price. Mike made a counter-offer. I made sure Mike knew I was willing to SETTLE. ::snort::

Mike called our realtor at midnight and counter-offered for $4,000.00 less than our asking price. We suspected they'd come back with a lower offer and we'd take it at that point....and we prayed they didn't back out.

They accepted. It's a cash sale. I'm not sure when we close. They're tracking down Josiah to sign some papers today and the deal will be ready to go.....inspections here we come.

Time to get ready for Sunday....in addition to services....

We're looking at a car today. Living so far off base (3 miles), we'll need two cars. I'd like something smaller to drive. These roads are NARROW and if you slide into a farmer's field you are responsible to pay for his crops....he can ask for crops for years and years if you've damaged the environmental make up of the field...there are little irrigation ditches along the side of the road (where we'd have shoulders in America)...the width of the ditch is the exact size of a tire....which can be treacherous in the winter when the ditches are covered with snow. I'd really like a car that doesn't take up quite so much of the lane. Mike found a couple for us to check out.

We also hope to catch another Summer Festival parade tonight.

Misawa Summer Festival - Part 1

I was feeling under the weather yesterday and missed this outing. Mike took all the children to the Misawa Summer Festival. Yesterday was the "Costume Parade". There are more photos coming, but these are the photos from the Nikon. LOL
