Stacia's Bear

Mike sent a package....oops that reminds me I need to do some wrapping tomorrow. He had a voice box for a bear in the package for Stacia's gift. She's still at an age where we can let her pick out her Christmas gift...so we headed to the Snuggle Factory and she picked out this bear.
When you hug the bear he says, "Hi Stacia, I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be. Love you, Stacia!" She was so excited when it began talking....so I hid the bear so that we can capture it on film on Christmas day. But I can post pictures of the bear here - she'll not guess. LOL

That is soooo sweet!!!

Do you sing the song to your children too?

Our MJ asked me to teach her the song this month and it's currently her favorite to sing.

Glad the girls are on the last part of the journey!! I expect hugs, tears (joyful/thankful) and laughter are ahead! {{G}}

I don't know the song - we've had the book for years and years....I used to read it to Josiah as a baby. LOL He smirks now when I read it to him....::snort::

Where could I hear the song?

Sis: How adorable that bear is! Tell Josiah that he can smirk but even you are still one of my Babies! :) Just the way it works!

Click on green "The books and other things button."

Scroll down to "Love You Forever."

If you want to cry, click on "Read about it," for the song's history. (Sad.)

If you want to hear the author read/sing the story, click "Listen to it." and download free.

Truly, I don't read music well, so I made up my own tune and that's what my children learned before I knew the author's tune.

I also added two lines to make tree stanzas.
The first part, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always and "...as long as we're living a family we'll be," and the first part again then "as long as you're living God's treasure you'll be."

I LOVE that book. We read it to our boys and they still love it. We made up a tune and sing it to them at night with other bed time songs from my 100% German Great Grandmother that has been passed down through the generations.

Enjoy it Stacia!
