The Girls are Home! (Photos tomorrow?)

The bus finally arrives...26 hours late! ::snort:: BUT if they'd been on the plane, they'd still be in WA like several of their friends. God is good. Our chance of snow is now at 0%! {bg}

Initial hugs...

Stacia isn't sure what all the hoopla is about but decided quickly that if the littles thought the girls were "ok" she needed their attention! LOL
Zander told me earlier in the day that "Bre will SQUEAL like a baby when she sees us." ::snort:: This little guy has NOT stopped smiling since the girls got home. I know now that he's been very depressed. When we got to the bus and the girls weren't there he said, "Mom - I told you they are at the airport!" ::snort:: A bad moment came a few moments after we were home. He turned to me and said, "Now, Dad will be home and then it will be Merry Christmas." I'm praying for him now - because I see the pure joy having the girls home and I know that they'll be one more goodbye before Mike is home.

Poor little guy. That's a hard age to try to explain such things.

He has the most beautiful face. He just radiates.

Praying that he will be able to handle the disappointment of the girls leaving again.

Hooray that the girls are home, I hope Zander will stil enjoy Christmas even though his Daddy won't be there. Mybe he can plan the details of a mini Christmas for when Mike comes home, or a party, which I'm sure you'll be having anyway but get Zander in on planning now, or as a distraction when the girls must leave again?

Wow. So glad your girls are home. Happy dance! It is hard and time is hard to explain to little ones. Blessings come in BIG 4 wheel vehicles instead of BIG airplanes, lol. Take care and Have a very Merry Christmas.

Sis: Glad the girls are home. GLAD Alexander is so happy. PRAYING FOR HIM AND YOU ALL when it is time for them to return to Spokane.

Like the idea of Alexander helping to plan a BIG Mini Christmas celebration when Mike returns.

love/prayers

Great idea, Jodi. We have 6 birthdays and an anniversary between now and when Mike comes home...but it would be fun to begin thinking of a return party....I may wait until Feb though....because time seems to DRAG for Zander. LOL If I mentioned it now - he would expect to be able to CHOOSE the day for the party and make it happen. ::snort::
